Your path to becoming a Delta Air Lines pilot starts at ATP Flight School. Here's how to participate in the Delta Propel — Pilot Career Path Program and become a Delta Air Lines First Officer.

1. Step 1

   Earn Pilot Certificates & Ratings

   Start pilot training at ATP Flight School, where you will earn an FAA commercial multi-engine pilot certificate, instrument rating, and flight instructor certificates. ATP is the most efficient and proven way to earn the certification you need to become an airline pilot, which will take you just twelve months.

2. Step 2

   Build Experience as a Flight Instructor

   Join ATP as a flight instructor after graduating and build flight experience to qualify for airline hiring minimums.

3. Step 3

   Delta Propel Interview

   Between 500-1250 total flight time, recommended instructors interview to join Propel.

4. Step 4

   Start Flying as an Airline Pilot

   Once you reach 1,500 hours of flight time, you’ll be ready to start flying as a first officer for Endeavor Air.

5. Step 5

   Begin Your Career at Delta Air Lines as a Pilot

   After gaining experience as a regional airline pilot, you'll begin your career as a Delta Air Lines pilot.
