Begin flight training in the Airline Career Pilot Program.
If your goal is to fly for United, apply to join the United Aviate program after earning your private pilot certificate. Aviate through ATP offers a secure path to a career at United. Upon acceptance into the program, you'll receive a conditional job offer as a United First Officer.
Become an instructor with ATP's — certified instructor job for Airline Career Pilot Program graduates.
As a certified flight instructor, complete an interview with Mesa Airlines.
In 2½ years after starting flight training, start your new hire class with Mesa Airlines.
After 1,200 hours flying for Mesa as a Pilot In Command (PIC), you will be eligible to transition to United as a First Officer.
