Tuition Reimbursement Program
Mesa Airlines has selected ATP as a preferred training provider to build their pilot pipelines with the best training in the fastest time frame possible, offering Airline Career Pilot Program students at least $11,000 in airline tuition reimbursement. Here’s how you can take advantage of this program:
- Step 1: Airline Career Pilot Program
Graduate from the Airline Career Pilot Program with CFIs.
- Step 2: Build Experience as a Flight Instructor
Become a flight instructor with ATP — guaranteed instructor job for Airline Career Pilot Program graduates, earning up to $42,000 annually with airline tuition reimbursement.
- Step 3: Airline Interview & Airline Tuition Reimbursement
Between 300-500 hours total time, interview with Mesa Airlines. If you accept the Mesa's offer, they make a financial contribution toward your loan payment and you make a commitment to fly for that airline. Payments are $5 per flight hour, based on how much flight time you acquire each month.
- Step 4: Airline Pilot Job Placement
Just two years after starting flight training, and with approximately $5,000 in airline tuition reimbursement received, you start new hire class with Mesa Airlines. $500 monthly payments continue to supplement first-year airline pay for at least 12 months. Then up to two years or captain upgrade, whichever occurs first.
Mesa to Operate Embraer 175& Extends CRJ 700 Agreement for United Express
Phoenix, AZ — September 13, 2013 Mesa Air Group, Inc. is pleased to announce a new agreement with United Airlines that extends the term of its existing fleet of 20 Bombardier CRJ 700 aircraft to 2019 and adds 30 new United owned Embraer 175 aircraft.
Under the terms of this agreement Mesa will place the new Embraer 175 jets into service over the next two years. Mesa will hire approximately 350 pilots, 300 flight attendants and 200 maintenance and other support personnel to support the additional aircraft.

"Mesa began operating under United Express banner in 1992 and we are delighted to have this opportunity to expand our longstanding partnership. Our first codeshare agreement with United transformed our company and I am sure this one will do the same. We are also very pleased to rejoin the Embraer family of operators and look forward to working with our many friends there as well."

Mesa currently operates 71 aircraft with approximately 425 daily system departures to 82 cities, 32 states, the District of Columbia, Canada and Mexico. Mesa operates as US Airways Express and United Express under contractual agreements with US Airways and United Airlines, respectively, and independently as go!. This operation links Honolulu to the neighbor island airports of Hilo, Kahului, Kona and Lihue. The Company was founded by Larry and Janie Risley in New Mexico in 1982.
