Itinerary

Explore ATP's state-of-the-art aircraft and facilities, and learn more about how you can become an airline pilot. A comprehensive Admissions Flight and tour will give you an up-close experience of what training is like at ATP.

During your flight, you'll have the opportunity to take the controls and experience what flying is like firsthand. Your instructor will introduce you to the basics of flight and allow you to get a feel for what training to become a pilot entails. On the ground, you'll meet with fellow aspiring pilots and explore the training center, simulator, and all the resources ATP offers. Friends and family are welcome to join you during your training center tour.

Admissions Flights and training center tours are offered Monday through Sunday at 11 am and 1 pm, and Monday through Sunday at 8 am in Arizona and Nevada. For more information, call ATP Admissions at (904) 595-7950.

Please contact ATP Admissions at (904) 595-7950 Monday through Friday from 8 am to 9 pm EST to schedule your flight. Schedule up to 48 hours in advance for weekday flights and four days for weekend flights. Flights are offered daily at 11 am and 1 pm, and daily at 8 am in Arizona and Nevada.

ATP requires a $195 payment at the time of scheduling to reserve your Admissions Flight. You must be at least 18 years old to conduct an Admissions Flight. ATP may decline to offer you an Admissions Flight for any reason at the discretion of our Admissions Team or training center flight instructors.

Dress Code

You will be training at airline training centers that have strict dress codes. Please maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the following dress code:

  • Wear a collard shirt, polo shirt, or similar.
  • Khaki, navy, or black chino-style pants or shorts with a belt.
  • Military flight suits, jeans, and open-toed shoes are not acceptable.

Is Taking an Admissions Flight Required?

Yes, successfully completing an ATP Admissions Flight is required for all Airline Career Pilot Program students. An Admissions Flight with ATP is an excellent opportunity for you to get a first-hand look at training with ATP in the Airline Career Pilot Program.

What Kind of Airplane Will I Fly?

You will fly either the single engine Cessna 172 or Piper Archer (both great for beginners). This will be a great opportunity for you to find out what to expect in training.

Who can take an Admissions Flight?
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be capable of attaining a FAA First Class Medical Certificate with no limitations (except for corrective lenses).

Admissions Flights are only offered to flight training students who are considering enrolling in the Airline Career Pilot Program. ATP may decline to offer you an Admissions Flight for any reason at the discretion of our Admissions Team or training center flight instructors.
