Explore ATP's state-of-the-art aircraft and facilities, and learn more about how you can become an airline pilot. A comprehensive Introductory Flight and tour will give you an up-close experience of the ATP Advantage and what training is like at ATP.

Your Introductory Flight Includes:

  • Preflight Briefing: Learn about safety procedures, cockpit setup, and what to expect during the flight.
  • In-Flight Experience: Take the controls and experience basic flight maneuvers such as straight-and-level flight, climbs, descents, and turns.
  • Training Center Tour: Explore our state-of-the-art facilities, including classrooms, simulators, and aircraft.
  • Debriefing: Discuss your flight experience, ask questions, and get insights into life as an ATP student.

Please contact ATP Admissions at (904) 595-7950 Monday through Friday from 8 am to 9 pm EST to schedule your flight. Schedule up to 48 hours in advance for weekday flights and four days for weekend flights. Flights are offered daily at 11 am and 1 pm, and daily at 8 am in Arizona and Nevada.

Cancellation & Policies

ATP requires a $195 payment at the time of scheduling to reserve your Introductory Flight. You must be at least 18 years old to conduct an Introductory Flight. ATP may decline to offer you an Introductory Flight for any reason at the discretion of our Admissions Team or training center flight instructors.

Dress Code

You will be training at airline training centers that have strict dress codes. Please maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the following dress code:

  • Wear a collard shirt, polo shirt, or similar.
  • Khaki, navy, or black chino-style pants or shorts with a belt.
  • Military flight suits, jeans, and open-toed shoes are not acceptable.

What is an Introductory Flight?

At ATP, your first introductory training flight is called an Introductory Flight. It is a one-hour flight designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of flight and help you discover the training ATP offers as you research your flight school options. There is no obligation to sign up for training or enroll in the Airline Career Pilot Program after completing your Introductory Flight.

When and Where Can I Take My Flight?

Flights are offered at any of ATP's nationwide locations, Monday through Sunday at 11 am and 1 pm, and Monday through Sunday at 8 am in Arizona and Nevada.

Will I Actually Fly the Airplane?

Yes, your first flight at the controls is waiting to be scheduled! Your instructor will introduce you to the fundamentals of flight and give you the opportunity to fly the airplane.

What Kind of Airplane Will I Fly?

You will fly either the Cessna 172 or Piper Archer. This will be a great opportunity for you to find out what to expect in training.
