ATP Orders Five ELITE RC-1 Training Systems with the Garmin GNS 430 GPS Option

JACKSONVILLE, Florida — December, 2006

Airline Transport Professionals (ATP) orders 5 ELITE Advanced Aviation Training Devices. These devices are state-of-the-art training systems fully equipped with the Garmin GNS 430 GPS option.

The ELITE RC-1 systems are full-featured Advanced Aviation Training Devices (AATD) with life-size, high-resolution instruments, cockpit enclosure, and external visual system with a large-screen display. Each RC-1 includes simple, complex, and twin-engine aircraft modules with associated three and six-lever throttle quadrants.

Used by more colleges, universities, flight academies and flight schools worldwide, ELITE ATDs provide students with the ultimate training and proficiency tools to help them become more confident pilots.

“Elite's RC-1 is the perfect Garmin GNS 430 procedures training platform to complement the other 26 FTDs at ATP’s training centers. Students will benefit from the additional exposure to GNS 430 operations from the very beginning of their FTD phase of instrument training,” said Jim Koziarski, ATP's Vice President of Flight Operations.

In 1984 ATP pioneered accelerated, professional multi-engine flight training with an emphasis on pilot career development. Today ATP’s Airline Training Programs prepare pilots for airline careers with nationwide flying experience in multi-engine and jet aircraft. Airline hiring partnership letters recognize the value of this experience by offering ATP pilots specially reduced flight time minimums for airline employment, enabling pilots to reach their career goals faster. ATP flies over 5,000 hours and provides more than 300 FAA pilot certifications each month at 23 locations nationwide.
