Tuition Reimbursement Program DetailsHow to Earn Flight Training Financial Assistance

Airlines have selected ATP as a preferred training provider to build their pilot pipelines with the best training in the fastest time frame possible.

Step 1
Graduate Airline Career Pilot Program

With airline-oriented, total immersion training from day one, you will graduate from the Airline Career Pilot Program in 9 months (from zero time), earning your Commercial Multi-Engine pilot certificate with Certificated Flight Instructor certificates.

Step 2
Guaranteed Flight Instructor Job

After graduating the program, you receive a guaranteed Flight Instructor job with ATP, where you can earn up to $42,000 annually with airline tuition reimbursement and gain the necessary flight experience to reach airline hiring minimums of 1500 hours.

Step 3
Airline Tuition Reimbursement Begins

Between 300-500 hours total time, interview with your airline. If you accept the airline's offer, they make a financial contribution toward your loan payment and you make a commitment to fly for that airline. Payments are $5 per flight hour, based on how much flight time you acquire each month. If you did not finance your flight training, payments are made directly to you.

Step 4
Airline Pilot Job

After about 18 months as a flight instructor and with approximately $5,000 in airline tuition reimbursement received, you start your new hire class with your airline. $500 monthly payments continue to supplement first-year airline pay for at least 12 months.

Step 5
Major Airline Pilot

Many of ATP's tuition reimbursement partners offer a direct path to the major airlines with flow-through agreements and pathway programs, putting you on an accelerated track towards achieving your goals.

What Others Have to Say

Fly with ATP and you will see why we offer the best training experience in general aviation.

My training at ATP helped me tremendously with transitioning into the 121 world. Checklist usage and timing, as well as the decision making that was engrained into me at ATP is expected of all of the 121 training pilots in each Mesa training class...The pace of airline training and ATP were both fast-paced, but very efficient. I was surprised as to how similar the two were...I would highly recommend the Tuition Reimbursement Program to any pilot because of how much financial help it gives you throughout your first year as an airline pilot.

Mesa Airlines

The $500 a month from the Tuition Reimbursement Program has really helped me financially while starting my career as a First Officer with Mesa. It's great that I'll be able to take home a much larger percentage versus the signing bonuses that most other airlines offer.
