The 100+ Hour Multi-Engine Airline Career Pilot Program offers fixed-cost tuition by starting point. Your tuition is set by prior flight experience at one of three starting points—Start from Zero Time, Credit for Solo, or Credit for Private Pilot—and includes all flight training, simulator training, ground school, training materials, and ATP Advantage benefits required to become an airline pilot.

ATP never asks for full payment up front. Instead, ATP follows a graduated payment schedule as you progress through training—even if you finance your flight training. This protects you from accruing interest on funds you have not yet used, since ATP does not accept the entire amount of your loan proceeds at once.

Before you enroll, compare starting points to confirm your entry tier, review prerequisites for your experience level, and use the training timeline to plan each stage of full-time training.

Operating expenses vary widely across the nation, and at select locations, a training center premium is added to the price of the Airline Career Pilot Program. This amount will be billed according to ATP's multiple-disbursement payment schedule.

Payment schedules are approximate and progress-based. ATP Finance will reach out 1 week ahead of any changes to the payment schedule. ATP students can also monitor their account statements on student extranet for changes to due dates.

Programs specifications are subject to change, but not during your training program. See our fuel surcharge policy. Logged flight times may vary slightly due to flight check times and other considerations.

What’s Not Included in the Fixed-Cost Price

ATP’s fixed cost pricing includes flight training in excess of FAA Part 141 minimums to provide a realistic amount of training required by most pilots. Logged flight times may vary slightly due to flight checkride times and other considerations.

The following additional costs are not included in your fixed price:

  • FAA Examiners’ Fees and Knowledge Tests
    • Start from Zero Time: $14,000
    • Credit for Solo: $14,000
    • Credit for Private Pilot: $12,500
Paid in cash to examiner and third-party provider. Additional checkrides for PMEL and MEI qualifications are reflected in these estimates.

  • Third party iPad apps & subscriptions

Refund Policy

With the ATP Advantage Guarantee, you can start training with no commitment or financial risk. If you choose to discontinue training for any reason before your first milestone (about 20 hours of flight time), you will only pay for the flight time you logged at the discounted rate of $200 per flight hour, and additional payments may be refunded.

ATP is the only flight school or academy that offers this level of protection. Learn more about how the ATP Advantage Guarantee refund works before your first milestone.

After your first milestone, should you or ATP decide to discontinue training, you (or a designated lending source) will be eligible for a pro-rated refund, which will be issued within 15 days following program termination.

ATP’s refund policy quickly accommodates students who elect to discontinue the program for any reason. It is important to receive your refund in an expeditious manner so you can use the funds to continue your flight training at another school, repay a loan, or cover emergency needs.
