New ATP Training Center in Arlington / Dallas, Texas (GKY) to Support Career Path to American Airlines
Dallas, TX — September 23, 2019
Today, ATP Flight School breaks ground on a new 25,835 square foot pilot training center in Arlington, Texas. The facility increases ATP's Dallas footprint to support unprecedented airline hiring demand for ATP trained pilots.
With nearly 12,000 square feet of dedicated maintenance space underpinning 13,875 square feet of training facilities, the complex will be used exclusively by Airline Career Pilot Program students and instructors. During the program, pilots are on the most efficient path to an airline pilot career, starting with zero experience and graduating in just nine months.
Dedicated ramp space at the location will provide a home to a fleet of factory new Piper aircraft, as ATP begins accepting delivery of 100 new Archers in a second fleet order announced last year.
ATP's proven track record and established history operating out of Dallas has made them a leading provider of airline pilots to the American Airlines Group. Dallas-based Envoy Air, an American Airlines subsidiary, is the top destination for ATP graduates and more alumni have gone on to fly for American Airlines than any other major airline.

"ATP is committed to providing students with the opportunity to get to the airlines first, with more options to take their career further, faster," said Michael Arnold, ATP's marketing director. "This investment in our Dallas-based students is key in supporting the hiring needs of American Airlines and accelerating the pilot career path to the largest U.S. airline."
Innovative programs like the Envoy Cadet Program offered through ATP provides students with a direct path to a career at American Airlines, while Tuition Reimbursement Programs with 11 other air carriers open more options for graduates to take their career to all of the major airlines.
ATP’s ground-breaking of the new training center comes just before a reception hosted by the ATP Alumni Association in Fort Worth, Texas, at the American Airlines C.R. Smith Museum. This networking event on September 25th is the association's second in 2019, recognizing and supporting ATP alumni.
