Using Your GI Bill® Benefits for the Airline Career Pilot Program
To start, all of us at ATP thank you for your service!
We are glad to hear you are interested in becoming an airline pilot. By choosing to train with ATP, you can maximize the GI Bill benefits you have earned:
- $12,000 to reimburse the costs of FAA examiner fees in this program
- $24,300 value for up to 32 transfer credits toward a VA funded Aviation Degree program
- $1,177.50 per month living expense stipend from the VA while time building as a CFI if dual enrolled in online college (up to $21,195 total over 18 months of time building). View Post-9/11 GI Bill®
- $17,500 in Tuition Reimbursement with potential airline partners
$74,995 tuition assistance is available by choosing ATP as your training provider.
The only alternative to using your GI Bill for flight training is to be dual-enrolled in a college degree program that has flight training attached. These programs take 4-5 years to complete your training, and the cost ranges from $175,000 to $250,000. The VA can cover up to $80,000 in total over 4-5 years, leaving you with about $100,000 to cover out of pocket or in a credit-based loan.
With ATP, you can complete our Airline Career Pilot Program in just 12 months from zero time. That's over three years faster than using the GI Bill to get started on training!
If you’d like to get to the airlines 3-5 years sooner and enjoy 3+ years of increased seniority in your career, you can schedule an admissions flight at any of ATP’s nationwide training centers.
