The National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI), the country's largest association representing flight instructors, has announced ATP Flight School as a new Advocate-level Corporate Supporter, NAFI's highest-level sponsorship. Focusing on professional training for career-bound students, ATP is the nation's largest flight school with 40 locations and over 250 flight instructors.

"In our discussions with Justin Dennis, ATP vice president, it became clear that NAFI and ATP have many shared missions to support and develop flight instructors," said Bob Meder, NAFI chair. "Among them is assuring flight instructors have all the resources needed to become successful, professional instructors," he continued.

"ATP's flight instructors reflect the highest degree of professionalism, safety, and standardization in the industry, and empowering them with the resources they need to continue to develop as professional pilots is key to our mission," said Jim Koziarski, ATP vice president. Continuing, "we are proud to support NAFI's advocacy and representation for flight instructors in the industry; their focus on high standards of skill, experience and character in flight instruction will undoubtedly help our instructors develop as professionals and leave a lasting impact on future pilots."

"By becoming supporters ATP also demonstrates their commitment to all flight instructors through providing NAFI with vital resources to continue our work into the future," said Rick Todd, NAFI Board president. He continued "since 2017 is NAFI's 50th anniversary, we are especially proud to include ATP as a new partner as part of our celebration."

All ATP flight instructors will receive memberships in NAFI adding to the many benefits of training at the school. ATP believes offering its instructors affiliation with a professional association enhances the learning experience through exposure to the important work done on their behalf; they believe NAFI is the perfect alliance to serve that purpose.

About NAFI

Members of the National Association of Flight Instructors work as independent instructors, at flight schools, universities, FBOs, corporate flight departments and in the military. Since 1967, NAFI and its members, who teach in 30 countries, are dedicated to increasing and maintaining the professionalism of flight instruction.

NAFI members influence active pilots daily: students working to become pilots, current pilots training to advance their skills with new ratings or certificates and pilots who seek to improve their skills with recurrent training. NAFI also serves as an advocate with industry and government as a voice for flight instruction. NAFI helps shape the current and future direction of flight training.

About ATP Flight School Training Pilots Since 1984

ATP's Airline Career Pilot Program prepares pilots for airline careers from zero time to 1,500 hours, with CFI jobs and airline employment. Addressing the pilot shortage, airlines attract new pilots to the industry with ATP's Tuition Reimbursement Program, where airlines sponsor a portion of pilots' flight training loan repayment. ATP also provides type-rating and ATP CTP certification. ATP's 574 aircraft fly over 540,000 hours each year to provide over 12,000 FAA pilot certificates and ratings. As America's largest flight school, ATP is the leading supplier of professionally trained pilots to the nation's regional airlines.
