What is an Introductory Flight?
At ATP, your first introductory training flight is called an Introductory Flight. It is a one-hour flight designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of flight and help you discover the training ATP offers as you research your flight school options. There is no obligation to sign up for training or enroll in the Airline Career Pilot Program after completing your Introductory Flight.
When and Where Can I Take My Flight?
Flights are offered at any of ATP's nationwide locations, Monday through Sunday at 11 am and 1 pm, and Monday through Sunday at 8 am in Arizona and Nevada.
Will I Actually Fly the Airplane?
Yes, your first flight at the controls is waiting to be scheduled! Your instructor will introduce you to the fundamentals of flight and give you the opportunity to fly the airplane.
What Kind of Airplane Will I Fly?
You will fly either the Cessna 172 or Piper Archer. This will be a great opportunity for you to find out what to expect in training.
How Do I Schedule My Flight?
You can schedule your flight completely online. It's quick and easy to select your location, date, and time.
Do I Have to Start Training With ATP to Take a Flight?
No, there is no obligation to start training with ATP or enroll in the Airline Career Pilot Program after your flight.

Can I Bring a Friend or Member of My Family?
Yes! You are welcome to bring a member of your family or a friend to the training center with you. However, during your flight, it will just be you and your flight instructor.
