Once integrated into ATP's fleet of over 370 aircraft, these ten Cessnas will be flown by students and instructors in the Airline Career Pilot Program, as they train to become professional airline pilots. The Skyhawks join 60 other aircraft ATP has taken delivery of in the last 12 months, as airline demand for ATP trained pilots reach unprecedented levels. Last year alone, airlines hired over 640 ATP alumni. A proven cornerstone of the fleet, the Cessna 172 is utilized by ATP to deliver a stable pipeline of professionally-trained pilots to the airlines, with the majority of students reaching their first airline job in about two years.

Our commitment… is backed by the continued investment in new aircraft, training resources, and airline relationships students need to reach their career goals as quickly as possible.

Michael Arnold

ATP Director of Marketing

"ATP is the leader in providing the most efficient path towards becoming a successful airline pilot," said Michael Arnold, ATP's Director of Marketing. "Our commitment to this promise is backed by the continued investment in new aircraft, training resources, and airline relationships students need to reach their career goals as quickly as possible."

With a 100-plane order announced just last year, ATP Flight School is scheduled to take delivery of new aircraft each month through the remainder of 2019.

About ATP Flight School Training Pilots Since 1984

ATP's Airline Career Pilot Program prepares pilots for airline careers from zero time to 1,500 hours, with CFI jobs and airline employment. Addressing the pilot shortage, airlines attract new pilots to the industry with ATP's Tuition Reimbursement Program, where airlines sponsor a portion of pilots' flight training loan repayment. ATP also provides type-rating and ATP CTP certification. ATP's 574 aircraft fly over 540,000 hours each year to provide over 12,000 FAA pilot certificates and ratings. As America's largest flight school, ATP is the leading supplier of professionally trained pilots to the nation's regional airlines.
