Girls in Aviation Day Long Beach will be held on Saturday, March 16th from 9:30am to 3pm. Girls from ages 8 to 17 will be introduced to the career possibilities and amazing lifestyle aviation and aerospace present. Through a host of hands-on activities, speakers, games and more, girls get immersed in all that aviation has to offer.

Keynote Speaker: Capt. Tammie Jo Shults
One of the first female F/A-18 Hornet pilots in the United States Navy, and after concluding her Navy career she became a pilot for Southwest Airlines. Her successful landing of Southwest Flight 1380, after an engine failure and decompression, saved the lives of 143 passengers.
